Ryan Wyatt, the former head of YouTube Gaming, recently made a significant career move in January 2022 when he left YouTube to become CEO of Polygon Studios – an Ethereum Layer-2 scaling crypto project. During his most recent podcast with Decrypt, Ryan shared why this shift was necessary and how it impacted him personally.
Ryan Wyatt: Web3 Potential Is Unlimited
Ryan Wyatt made it known that most internet users take an interest in decentralized protocols and prefer to possess their digital assets via autonomy. “The concept of digital ownership grabbed my attention,” Ryan Wyatt said, “because every day we invest more money into virtual items yet still want control over them.” Moreover, he observed that cryptocurrency, blockchain technology & Web3 have fantastic potential for endless possibilities.
Wyatt divulged that he was attempting to comprehend how every digital component connected within this space, so he went for the Polygon to integrate some non-web3 elements into its blockchain ecosystem to make it more diverse.
Polygon Is Very Popular Lately
The Polygon team is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and is currently putting in every effort to launch their zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) beta main network. This upgrade will allow for a reduction in transaction fees, increased efficiency on the Polygon network, and an improved user experience. Finally, these new features will be available on March 27th, 2023!
According to On-Chain data, crypto whales have made some large moves with Polygon (MATIC) in the past 24 hours. In total, 19 million MATIC – worth over $28.3 million – has been sent across exchanges in multiple transactions. The largest single transaction recorded was 4.76 million MATIC valued at approximately $6.82 million and went from Binance exchange to Bitfinex!
Whale data shows that Polygon (MATIC) is increasingly purchased by Ethereum’s top 100 whales, and it stands in the list of the ten most bought tokens within the last 24 hours. MATIC continues to be one of their favorites for trading activities.
